"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing
the impossible." -St. Francis of Assisi
It's about time! I've decided to share my story after 2 1/2 years of trying to process what has happened to me.
I AM A HEART ATTACK SURVIVOR!
In January 2013, I decided to make the phone call to the local chapter of
Women Heart. Wow! I received the warmest welcome and was mesmerized by the lady on the phone. She too had a heart attack at the age of 41. She invited me to the meetings and I've been going every since the phone call. These ladies are fabulous! What do we have in common?
Heart Disease. By going to the monthly meetings, it's helping me open up and share my story.

2013 Go Red at RA Sushi
Go Red Martini |
In February, I decided to attend a few events to celebrate Heart month. My sister and I went to
RA Sushi and enjoyed a
Go Red martini. All for a good cause of course. While I was having a fabulous time, I realized I need to be an advocate to help educate women. This event was the beginning in "
wanting" to telling my story. But first I have to become more comfortable in telling my story.
Women Heart is getting me to that point.

2013 Go Red for Women Half Day for your Heart. It's the annual American Heart Association luncheon to educate women on heart disease. Finally, I've made a connection with the organization after trying for 2 1/2 years. Then, I met two incredible ladies that belong to the "Heart Club" or "Heart Sisters". I felt like I made a connection. They both are around my age and had a heart attack in their early 40's.
